Two pets, or the whole family
A second face costs nothing here
Most shops price portraits by head count and charge you again for the second dog. We do not — the price depends on the size, the frame and the style, and on nothing else. What does change is the likeness, and that is worth reading before you order.
What you pay
One portrait of two pets costs the same as one portrait of one pet. The same is true for a person and their dog, for two children, or for three animals in one frame. There is no per-subject charge anywhere in the checkout, and none is added later.

What a group portrait costs you instead
One photograph has to describe every face in it, so each likeness comes out a little looser than it would alone — which is why a second subject is free here rather than a surcharge.
If the likeness of each individual matters more to you than having them together in one frame, order a portrait each instead. Every face then gets the whole picture to work with. It costs more, and it is the better choice often enough that we would rather say it here than have you find out from the parcel.
Which styles hold two faces
This is the part that surprises people, and it runs the opposite way to intuition. A sparse style is not a safer choice for a crowded photograph — it is the worst one. A single fine line has the same fixed number of marks to spend whether it is describing one face or three, so each face gets a fraction of them.

Avoid for groups: Ink Wash, Paper Cut, Single Line
Embroidery is the tightest constraint of all, because a machine carrying six thread colours across a 10 x 10 cm badge has less room than a sheet of paper does. Two faces in thread at that size is possible and it is genuinely harder — for embroidered garments we would steer you to one subject per badge.
